Is my Doxie's image sensor damaged?

Usually, you just need to clean Doxie to get rid of lines on your scans. Beyond that, it is rare but possible for Doxie's image sensor to be defective or damaged.

Here's 4 examples of what a damaged sensor looks like:

This image shows a cracked image sensor. This Doxie was probably dropped. If it's a new scanner, the package may have experienced a serious shock during transit.
This image shows a solid white block, indicating a manufacturing defect.
This image shows a solid black block, indicating a manufacturing defect.
This image shows broad bands of color and a solid black block, indicating either a manufacturing defect or a damaged image sensor from a serious shock.
