I'm having trouble scanning receipts, photos, and cards in the automatic feeder.

Use the Direct Feed slot in the back for photos, business cards, or thin/narrow thermal receipts.

Doxie's Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is designed for scanning regular paper sheets and stacks. For everything else -- photos, Polaroids, business cards, thermal receipts, ID cards, and other small or fragile items -- use the Direct Feed slot in the back.

Insert your paper into the Direct Feed slot against the guide on the left of the arrow. Put the page into the slot straight and level, and don't feed the page from a high angle. For the best results in feeding, support both sides of the page and hold it until Doxie grabs it so the document is grabbed squarely.
