Scanning photos with Doxie Q

Photos can be fed through either Doxie’s Direct Feed slot in back or the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).

Using Direct Feed slot

The Direct Feed Slot is recommended for scanning photographs. Insert face down, aligned to the left arrow printed on the Direct Feed slot.

Using the Automatic Document Feeder

If you're using the ADF, make sure all your photos are the same size and insert a maximum of 3-4 photos at a time.

Note: In most cases, you can use the Automatic Document Feeder, however, if your original is particularly thick, use the Direct Feed slot instead.

Scanning fragile photos

Doxie Q includes a protective photo scanning sleeve that’s great for scanning fragile or damaged old photos. Slip in your original, then insert the sleeve into the Direct Feed slot.
