Installation for Windows 10

These instructions are for Windows 10. If you're using Windows 8.1, follow these directions instead.

Please note: the original Doxie has been discontinued for a number of years and has limited support.

The original Doxie (model # DX100) USB scanner will work with some Windows 10 installations. Windows 10 requires that hardware drivers be signed - the driver for the original Doxie is not - the special install instructions for Windows 8-10 work by turning off the signed driver requirement so Doxie’s driver can be installed.

Beginning with the Windows 10 “Anniversary” update, Microsoft will no longer let users bypass their signed driver requirement - this will prevent you from being able to install the driver for the original Doxie

How do I know if I have the "Anniversary" update or not?

If you do not have the "Anniversary" update, follow these instructions to install the driver.

If you do have the "Anniversary" update, you unfortunately won't be able to install the driver for the original Doxie. The original Doxie has been discontinued for a number of years and there is no driver update for this version of Windows.
