Why does Doxie Go keep turning off?

The battery is dead. Recharge Doxie Go. The orange light turns off when Doxie is fully charged.

You don't have to fully charge the battery before you can start scanning again. If you leave Doxie off for 20 minutes or so to charge, the scanner will have enough power to let you do some scanning. Then you can let the scanner fully charge later.

If Doxie is connected via USB, and is still turning off...

Doxie always gets its power from the battery, not the USB port — USB doesn’t provide enough power to let you keep Doxie on and charge at the same time. So, if the battery is nearly dead, and you plug it in and turn it on, it’ll start pulling power from the battery and will quickly turn off.

If you have one, use Doxie's power adapter, which gives the scanner enough power to let you sync and charge simultaneously.

If you don't have a power adapter, you don't have to fully charge the battery before you can download. If you leave Doxie off for 20 minutes or so to charge via USB, the scanner will have enough power that you will be able to successfully download. Then you can let the scanner fully charge later.

Alternatively, use an external USB flash drive or SD card. Then you can download whenever you want, regardless of the charge status.
