Paper Capabilities & Specifications
Doxie Q offers two ways to scan:
- Scan regular plain paper sheets and stacks with Doxie’s Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
- Scan photos, receipts, cards, and fragile items through Doxie’s Direct Feed slot, in back.
Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)
- Doxie’s ADF can handle up to 5 sheets of regular printing paper. For thicker paper, like resume paper or card stock, scan a smaller stack of 3-4 pages.
- Doxie's ADF can also scan photos, but make sure all your photos are the same size and insert a maximum of 3-4 photos at a time. If your photos are particularly thick or damaged, use the Direct Feed slot instead.
- Scanning speed: 8 pages per minute
- Minimum paper size: 3.5 x 3.5" (89 x 89 mm)
- Maximum paper size: 8.5 x 30" (215.9 x 762 mm)
Direct Feed
- Use the Direct Feed slot for narrow receipts, thick or damaged photos, business cards, and ID cards. Unlike the ADF, the Direct Feed slot can handle thick, narrow, and very thin paper.
- Minimum paper size: 2 x 2" (50 x 50 mm)
- Maximum paper size: 8.5 x 30" (215.9 x 762 mm)
- Maximum paper thickness: 0.76 mm
