How do I fix overcropped/trimmed scans?

Doxie's software automatically tries to crop and de-skew (straighten) scans to eliminate blank areas -- cards, pages, or photos that feed through skewed may not always be interpreted correctly. Here's how to adjust your scans.

If your scans still appear overcropped...

In addition to software cropping, Doxie Q – the scanner itself – does have a conservative auto-crop function that trims blank edges off your originals automatically. This is to ensure that the output is roughly the size you intended, versus the full width of the scanning area.

If you have a page that feeds through very skewed, this may confuse the hardware auto-crop feature which may crop part of your original. If a card, page, or photo feeds through skewed, make sure you’re using the paper guides and try again. Here’s how to avoid skewed scans.
