The iOS app isn't finding my Doxie
First, double check that your iOS device has joined Doxie's network
- Turn on Doxie. Press and hold down the power button for a moment.
- Enable Wi-Fi. Turn on Wi-Fi by tapping the back button. Doxie's light quickly blinks white and turns to a slow white flash when Wi-Fi is ready.
- ... then join Doxie's network. Open Settings, tap Wi-Fi, and select Doxie's network.
- Optionally, if you've configured Doxie to connect to your local Wi-Fi network, join that network instead – you want to be on the same network as your Doxie.
Next, reset
If you're still having trouble connecting, reset Doxie's Wi-Fi. Resetting Wi-Fi restores the Wi-Fi system to its default settings, and is helpful for troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues.
- Turn on scanner and Wi-Fi. Make sure the LED shows a slow white flash.
- Insert a paper clip in the reset hole on the back of Doxie and hold it down for about 10-15 seconds until the LED starts to repeat two quick white flashes.
- Release the reset button.
- When reset is complete, the LED will return to a slow white flash. The whole process takes about 90 seconds. Note: On rare occasions, the Wi-Fi module may turn off after reset is complete. That is, the LED returns to a solid green (300 dpi) or solid orange (600 dpi). Turn Wi-Fi back on back hitting the button on the back of Doxie. Wi-Fi is ready when the LED shows a slow white flash.
Note: Resetting Wi-Fi will revert the scanner back to the default name. You may need to turn your device's Wi-Fi off and back on to see the scanner again.
