Wi-Fi
Doxie Go Wi-Fi has built-in wireless networking technology, so you can sync scans wirelessly to your Mac, PC, iPhone, or iPad.
There are multiple Doxie Go models -- only Doxie Go Wi-Fi has built-in Wi-Fi networking technology. Check for the Wi-Fi button on the back of your scanner to confirm you have a model with Wi-Fi.
To turn on Wi-Fi, push the round, black Wi-Fi button on the back of the scanner. Doxie's light flashes blue while Wi-Fi starts up, then turns solid blue when Wi-Fi is on. Wi-Fi uses extra battery power, so turn it off when it's not in use.
You need to be on the same network as Doxie to import scans. Be sure to join Doxie's self-created Wi-Fi network. You can also join Doxie to your home or office network.
How Doxie's Wi-Fi works
Doxie is a mobile scanner with a rechargeable battery, so it doesn't assume you're always in a fixed location.
By default, Doxie creates its own Wi-Fi network you can join to access your scans called Doxie_XXXXXX (where XXXXX is a unique network ID associated with your Doxie). Use your Mac, PC, or iOS device to join Doxie's network to access your scans.
You can optionally join Doxie to your home or office network with Dual Wi-Fi. When you turn on Doxie in range of a configured network, Doxie will join that network and skip creating its own network. If, however, it doesn't find a configured network, Doxie will assume you're out and about and create its own network.
