Scanning Tutorial Video
Check out our complete video walkthrough of scanning with Doxie Pro. 🎥
Doxie Pro offers two ways to scan:
- Automatic Document Feeder (ADF): Doxie's ADF works great with regular printer paper and handles up to 20 sheets at once! For thicker paper, like resume paper or card stock, scan a smaller stack of 8-10 pages.
- Direct feed slot: Designed to keep your paper flat, the direct feed slot scans one item at a time and works particularly well for thick or damaged paper — like photos, business cards, drawings, heavily wrinkled paper, and more.
Please note: you can only load and scan with one feeder at a time. If you try to load paper or scan with both, you'll cause a paper jam. Close the direct feed slot when scanning with the ADF to avoid paper being ejected out of order.
Five quick tips for the best Doxie Pro experience:
- Download the most recent version of Doxie's software (visit getdoxie.com/doxiepro)
- Flip up Doxie's paper guides — until they click! into place — adjust to the width of your paper and make sure your paper is under the tabs.
- Tap your stack of paper on a flat surface to square up the sheets before scanning.
- Keep the direct feed slot closed while scanning with the ADF to avoid shuffling paper out of order as it exists.
- Use Doxie's default scan settings ("Smart Auto") for most items.
