Doxie Pro's flip-open direct feed slot is designed to keep your paper flat as it scans, which means it scans one item at a time and works particularly well for thick or damaged paper.
Use the direct feed slot for things like business cards, photos, postcards, plastic cards, and more. It also works well for receipts, drawings, irregularly-shaped items, and heavily wrinkled paper.
To scan, flip open the direct feed slot. Load paper centered, face down, and top first. Support both sides of the paper until Doxie grabs it. Close the direct feed slot when finished.
If your item is especially fragile, consider using a photo sleeve. Slip in your original, then insert the sleeve into the direct feed slot.
